The End of Mötley Crüe? Nikki Sixx speaks about Mötley Crüe’s demise.

Motley Crue to go out with a band!

The final curtain for Motley Crue?

It’s the end of the world as we know it

It wouldn’t be an exaggerated claim to say that Mötley Crüe has for better or worse been one of the most influential/successful rock ‘n’ roll bands of all time. That’s why we bring you the word straight from the horse’s mouth that Mötley Crüe are soon to be no more. According to sources at TheMusic.com.au an interview with Nikki Sixx, has revealed in detail, Mötley Crüe’s plans to go out with a bang.

Nikki Sixx, Mötley Crüe’s infamous bass player stated “I wanna finish our movie [The Dirt: Confessions Of The World’s Most Notorious Rock Band] and put out a new album,” Nikki brought up mention of a soundtrack in the works and “a farewell tour”. “We’ll be back in Australia and, ah, that’ll be it, I can honourably say, We did it our way and we’re never coming back.”

Nikki was extremely adamant about the band’s future spilt and farewell tour. He accentuated that the split will mark the end of the band’s 30 year career permanently and he has no interest in any sort of reunion later down the line. This will be the final nail in the coffin for Mötley Crüe.

Not gonna beat a dead horse

Nikki Sixx continued “It’s important that when you do a farewell tour that people understand that when you put a bullet in the back of the horse’s head, and it goes down, it’s not a plastic bullet it’s a fucking shotgun blast.” The bassist continued to describe in graphic detail the execution of the four-legged farm-yard animal before saying, “It’s the only way I can look at myself in the mirror and do a farewell tour. That’s it. So when we take our final bow, it’s IT. I will cry. I cry thinking about it.” He expressed.

For more than 30 years, the hell hounds of Mötley Crüe have been creating musical chaos for their millions of fans around the globe, many of whom will certainly be saddened by the news of the final curtain coming to a close on such an illustrious career for these musical giants. In 2004 the original Mötley Crüe line-up reunited after a long line of line-up changes and an age of turbulence among the band members, upon announcing the Carnival Of Sins reunion tour in December of the same year.

Since then, the band released their ninth album [Saints Of Los Angeles] in 2008, backed by relentless touring including and their current co-headline tour with glam rock legends KISS.

There will be no sequel

Mr. Sixx went on to describe his feelings “So it’s very emotional and I just think it’s important that we finish what we started and then, you know, it will be whatever it will be. It could be beautiful. It could be a beautiful ending! [Like] When you go and see a great movie.”

Nikki concluded with the analogy “I’ll leave you with this: when you go and see a great fucking movie and it ends and you go, ‘Fuck!’ like, you walk out and you go, ‘That was amazing! That blew my mind!’ It’s not like, ‘That blew my mind and, um, maybe there’ll be a sequel to it’.”

So will this finally be it for the almighty Mötley Crüe? It seems that it is the case. Nikki at least seems to believe so. Who are we to argue with him? So our advise to any Mötley Crüe fans out there, if you haven’t seen them live, take this chance to do it, because it’s the last chance you’re ever going get. I can imagine that those tickets are going sell like hot cakes during a famine. So tell us: are you sad about the news that Mötley Crüe are soon to end their career? leave a comment down below and let us know your thoughts, good or bad.

Randy Blythe Goes Free… All Hail Lamb of God! Acquitted of all charges.

Lamb Of God Free

Lamb Of God

According to the website novinky.cz Lamb of God front man Randy Blythe is now free to go home to the USA after the Czech court acquitted him on all charges. We here at Soul Sanctuary are very happy to hear the news.

Randy Blythe was originally facing up to ten years in prison on Manslaughter charges. Prosecutors had asked for a five-year prison sentence later in the trial. The family of the victim was seeking 10 million Czech Koruna in damages. The charges were based on an incident where Blythe allegedly threw the fan (Daniel Nosek) from the stage, who later died from his injuries several days later after being admitted to hospital, claiming he felt unwell and later becoming unconscious. But video evidence of the concert in question, clearly showed that he was innocent of the accusations against him.

It seems that according to the article, the Court ruled (and rightly so, I might add) that Randy was innocent of the charges against his name. In the final argument before the decision was made, Randy expressed to the court: “I would like to thank the family of Daniel Nosek for not attacking me in the press and for their kind words to me in this court. I am very sorry for their loss. Daniel was a fan of my band. I had no wish to harm him. He was just a boy and I wish he was still here. If, ultimately the Czech legal system sentences me to prison, I will do my sentence like a man. If I am to remain free, I will do my best to insure that conditions at this concert will not occur again with my band and other bands so that the fans will remain safe. I have searched for an answer to this situation. The only one I can find is that it was a tragic, horrible accident.”

Although the death of the fan is certainly a tragic incident, two wrongs do not make a right. Putting an innocent man in prison for a crime he did not commit, will not bring Daniel Nosek back and only serve to spread more hate in the world.

All hail Lamb of God! It’s great to have you back Randy!

What’s their story?

A long Time ago, in a galaxy far far away… Sorry, wrong story. **Cough, cough** Excuse me.

About Soul Sanctuary

Soul Sanctuary formed in 2006. The band’s début album “Afterlife” was a completely self-produced/self-published record, released on the bands own label, Forsaken Memory Records on Halloween 2009. Afterlife has thus far received some very positive feedback from independent media some even calling the album a “Masterpiece” while others have quoted the bands front man Luke Gibson as having “A scream to match any of the Metal Legends”. They have also shared the stage with the likes of Sonic Syndicate, Guthrie Govan, Blowsight, Esoterica & Dave McPherson of the band InMe. The band and it’s individual members have also enjoyed praise from the music press with features in online publications such as Total Guitar, Bizarre, Devolution, Metal Hammer, Metalsucks.net, Bloody Disgusting, Metal Injection, Comicbook.com, Blabbermouth and many more.

In 2011 Soul Sanctuary released the Single “Lest We Forget” in an effort to raise funds to the victims of the horrific Earthquake that struck Japan in March of the same year. The band’s fund raising efforts received widespread appreciation from the metal community and was published in several news outlets, including The Observer. They even received a special thank you letter from the House of Commons. Soul Sanctuary is a big supporter of charitable work and consistently looks for ways to support causes they believe in.

Because of Soul Sanctuary’s relentless online promotion, vocalist Michael Burrough was head-hunted and hired by the band The Raven Age who were very impressed by his vocal ability from the single “Lest We Forget”. The Raven Age have gone on to play the legendary Sonisphere Festival and a two week tour with Steve Harris’s (Iron Maiden Bassist) British Lion. Many more big tours are set for the very near future too. During this time Soul Sanctuary have decided to take an indefinite hiatus from touring and live shows while Michael works on The Raven Age. But plans to release material online in the mean time are in the works and should commence soon.
